Two Mays Landing teens were accused of breaking into an Atlantic County mall overnight and stealing from several stores, authorities said. Hamilton Township police responded to the Hamilton Mall at around 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, the department said in a Facebook post. A jury has convicted a Burlington man for the 2021 fatal shooting of a man in Camden, authorities said. Lesure Funari, 25, of Burlington City, was found guilty on Thursday, June 6, of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Takwail Bailey of Camden. A 38-year-old ex-convict was arrested with a loaded assault rifle slung over his shoulder, authorities said. A former official at an Ocean County volunteer fire department admitted to stealing more than $100,000, authorities said. Salvatore Umek, 46, of Point Pleasant Beach, pleaded guilty on Monday, June 10 to theft, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. A 57-year-old woman was killed and three others were hurt in a crash in Trenton, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 near the intersection of East State and South Broad streets, according to Trenton police. The victim's name had not been released. A 25-year-old convict from Lawrenceville was arrested for multiple weapons and drug offenses, authorities said. On Tuesday, June 11, at approximately 6 a.m., Lawrence Township Police detectives executed a search warrant at a residence along the first block of Woodmont Drive in Lawrenceville. Ahsan Shaikh was charged with a dozen weapons and drug offenses including the manufacture and distribution of LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana, police said.
